Wow, that thing is well beat. My E91 has about 8k less miles but looks new compared to that one!

I think if you remove the fast and furious bits, it is not a bad car for about $5k... which is what I suspect the dealer picked it up for.

Thank you for this thread. I currently have an e39 525iT, but I would like to replace it with either a e39 540iT or a e91. I'm leaning towards an e91 to get something newer and have a better chance of finding one. Thanks.

Lot99LLC is annoying because they post cars on eBay that are sold but they leave them up. Several weeks ago I asked about this one, which had been up for a LONG time, and was told it has been sold.

I am considering these two. What would you choose?

First one has rare sports package with black/silver interior. 120k miles

Second one is Pre Lci and has generic interior, no sports package but 65k miles! (but carfax shows only 2 records for mileage and one side swipe accident. Sold at auction)

I will enjoy first car for couple years. It might require more maintenance as I reach 150k miles and I would have to price it cheap if I want to sell it.
For lower mileage one, I won't have to worry about it for 5 years.

Did you ever inquire about the first one? It's still for sale asking $8K. I was hoping it was a Southern car, but looks like it spent almost all of it's life in NY and PA.

Weaver has another white one with 90k miles they just got in that has spent all its life in SC and FL. The one pic of it looks pretty good. It has heated seats and comfort access but of course no sport package. If you go by there, make sure you look at that one too.

I enjoyed a 540 for many years, but M62s are needy.

Clearly a good option is LS swap though

Yeah, they have three different ones. White is a non-starter for us. The wife wants non-white, automatic, and heated seats at a bare minimum. I need to have her drive one of them and see what she thinks. Neither of us have driven one yet.
