i was actually looking at the older C5 S6 avant. something can haul grocery and get a lot of shit in the back. being the quattro system, i can go up to mountain without worrying when the road condition is limited.

im out of the car scene pretty much and want a normal car to get me from point A to point B. and for the S6 there's not much i want to mod to begin with, which is good to kill my mod devil.

im still open on option and at the end, it's no hurt to keep the e90 and just drive it if it is a better route to go.

Haha I've been busy for a few months and come back to reading posts by both of you two talking about selling your cars! What happened? Why are you both now selling or thinking about it?

I would only sell the 335i if i planned to buy a house or something. At the rate KBB keeps dropping on my 335 every year (plus adding 15k miles on it) its worth more to me to keep it than sell it lol.

If i was in the market for a new car. This would be something I'd easily trade my 335i for. The 2014 Corvette looks very Nice! which is strange for me since I've never really liked vette's lol. This should be your new DD lawwailok!

Dam, so your out of the bmw's now?

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you sell it for, over blue book? Was it an easy sale, meaning did it take a few weeks or pretty fast? How many miles and with or without mods?

Just wondering for down the road (125k when warranty expires) if i should remove all my stuff and make it stock or sell it as-is.

Dam so you see blue book values drop even more! It sucks thought, you wouldn't think that in a year you could loose almost 3-5k in value, but it seems to be happening lol.

***New Ride***

2014 GMC Terrain SLT-2 Package.

Basically fully loaded other than the Denali package. Denali wanted about 5k for the emblems and different interior and paint options.

I went with this SUV over the Ford Escape and the BMW X1.

the Ford Escape just didn't appeal to me and the interior just didn't look all that great to me. Was turbo though.

The BMW X1 was a tad bit smaller and 10k more. Yes I will miss the BMW ultimate driving machine experience (believe me nothing comparable.) Plus the X1 doesn't even come with CUP holders, just a stand alone single CUP holder on the side of the consul. it hit my knee when i was in the passenger seat. found that a bit weird, they retired the in dash slots like in our E9x.

So now a GMC owner. We went with the front wheel drive 2.4 4 cyl SIDI (Spark Ignition Direct Injected) 187hp/172tq @ 6700. pretty much gutless, but that's all we needed. I get a vehicle allowance from work, so having the better MPG's is a big incentive. The BMW would give me the most allowance, but still didn't add up with the overall costs.

I'll post some Pics once I get around to it.

I sold it for High Blue Book (Excellent condition) at 73k miles, Kyle on here is the new owner. I believe he just made a screen name. It was an easy sale, really just dumb luck. My fiance' and I made the decision to retire the BMW and get an SUV. Kyle text me for something, then i said, hey i am selling my car. a few weeks later it was sold. Sold it as is, with all mods and tune +$300 (including E50 MAP). I think it would have been tough to sell otherwise with mods. most people want stock.

I would find a buyer, if your buyer want's as is then leave it because it would be an easier sell. But i had to remove my BOV and Intake to pass smog. the SMOG N Go shop on Blue Ravine and Prairie City did the OBDII SMOG took like 5 min.

Sad to see you go Vince but I understand. I'm at 135k right now. Just checked KBB. Only valued at 11.8k! Lol. Of course, I have some mods but that doesn't really move the price needle. I will surely keep her because there is no point to sell. To keep her functional, I don't plan to wring any more performance out of her. Too costly. I'll just stick to my conservative 14psi OTS map.

It's funny how we are all thinking about something more practical. I've been eyeing a new SUV... Maybe the Explorer. Kinda digging the look and functionality.

whatsup with ur ML Dan? did you retire that too?
to me, it's to the point i should step out this game until a few years later. i had fun since my first day but i feel i have much more other important stuff to do and enjoy at the moment. not to mention our 2nd one is on the way, expected in late July. there's nothing wrong with my car and being a 4dr, it makes life easier to carry kids around. but something NOT mod friendly, practical, has a big ass trunk will do a much better work.

i actually found an Audi C5 S6 Avant already with very low miles. almost pulled the trigger, but wife thinks i should keep my car instead. im not 100% need to sell mine and get a wagon, it was an option to me. if Mrs. wants me to keep it, i don't mind to do so. well, put it this way, i can toss my kids in the back and let them have some fun, how's that?

im counting the days as well. Once you drive something else you really notice what you get for spending hella money.

the maintenance package for GMC is two years, but only covers tire rotation and oil changes. LOL. warranty isn't bad though. 3 years 36000. I purchase the extended warranty to 6 years 72000 though.

man seems like everyone is ready to jump ship from our cars.

I've been thinking about it myself as I really don't want to deal with any problems after warranty which has a couple months left. on the other hand I only have 42k miles on it currently. KBB trade in right now is break even with my financing left.

I know the feeling. Ive watched KBB and it seems to follow my payoff amount too. I'm moving to florida this summer (was last year but had to finish something first) and since i have an X5 i planned to drive that their. The 335 i haven't quite figured out how to bring it. Either ship it, let a friend drive it or sell it. If the KBB was higher it would be easy to just sell it and buy another one, but with the way bmw's are at dealers you will loose a lot since your paying retail.

The only reason why selling/buying would be good is to get the color/options i wanted but couldn't find.

Congrats on the second kid. Your going to have your hands full here soon! I didn't realize you were going to have another little one, in that case its time to sell the bmw and go full on mini van... JK!

Ok im being serious now lol. Since you already have a 4 door i'd suggest keeping the car. If your worried about issues down the road trade it in for a 4 door 328i model, then if you do that get the x-drive model for the extra all wheel drive safety in the rain and snow. You also have the X5 which is 100x better than a minivan
