Nevermind - found it with search - Lumbar support retrofit - coding needed?
I read the DIYs (that say this is plug and play) and did this in my e88 (wiring, switch, pad and pump)- and the lumbar doesn't work. Tested the switch and pump in my e91 (has lumbar) and they work fine.
BUT - I realize now that the DIYs were for manual sport seats - I have power regular seats. So I am guessing their needs to be coding done for this? The sport seats already have the pump for the bolsters, so would already be halfway there. Anyone BTDT? I've searched here, no mention of it. Edit - my search-fu sucks, but I did find the answer. No coding, missing pins in the car side of the wiring harness most likely. I hate BMW sometimes. :-)
