Riddle me this!

I have a 2010 m sport 335i xdrive auto. Has the power pack and the factory performance mufflers. I hear about everyone removing there resonators and putting in an x pipe. My exhaust just has what apers to be an x pipe. Definitely factory exhaust. My question is was there more to the PE than just the mufflers? I plan on keeping the pipes and slapping on some better flowing mufflers. This is just for geewhiz stuff.

And I may do that after I put on my down pipes. I'm just curious about the lack of resonator.

I agree with drew, just do the downpipes,

Removing mufflers, resonators etc all just either causes annoying drone or makes it obnoxiously loud for no good reason.

I dunno if the PE exhaust uses the exhaust flap, like the stock exhaust, if it does, just do the golf tee mod and Downpipes,

You won't have annoying vibrations/drone that way.

E90 335i has factory resonator, E92 335i has factory Xpipe...

Correct for the standard exhaust, but I do believe that the PE exhaust has the X-Pipe and no resonators for both E90 and E92.

Yes if you bought the M performance exhaust for the E90 335i there was an extra midpipe with stock E92 Xpipe instead of the stock resonator...

Ok. Thanks for the replys. Answers my question. The PE muffler dose have a flap but it's internal to the muffler. I discoed the vac line the day after I got the car. I'll see how it sounds after the dp install. I know the HP gains would be minimal but I like a bit more noise.

You need to run a map which takes into account downpipes and runs higher boost, to have significant horsepower gains, ie MHD Stage 2/2+

I meant up gains from the exhaust. I know the DPS will give it a good kick In The ass along with going mhd 2+

Power gains from exhaust mods are negligible. BMW exhaust systems are well designed and flow well. The main benefit of aftermarket, or things like resonator and/or muffler deletes is weight savings and for some it is the added sound. PE will increase sound, without much benefit of power or weight savings.
