Not to knock the original post in any way as it is clever...

Here is an even better way... check the instructions for the details.

Remember in both cases that you'll need to keep cards and other objects away from the charger as they will be demagnetized by the charger.

The electronics provided in the link above, hook directly to the exiting car wiring and do not require the USB connection.

The electronics could also be used in place of how the OP did it as well.

That is my deign for the inbay charging mount. It seems to work really well. And its much more useful the the open pocket that was there from the factory. The inbay kit is more expensive but its seems well made. I got my idea form the you tube video from Vehicular DIY. He did a similar install i just wanted something that looked a little more factory.

Do you by chance offer the 3d printed part for sale? I'm still not sure I need one, as I like using the tray to hold my sunglasses, but no access to a printer means no dice for me otherwise.

That looks like it might have a better connection with the wireless charger as well. But you can't beat $8 lol. Does the phone stay griped even during hard turns? One benefit of having the phone in the pocket is it's not going anywhere. I agree with e90cd, an oem look is much preferred.
