New Oil CC Option

Hey Gang,
I noticed on the BMS website, they now have a cost friendly version of their catch can. Anyone else tempted to try this? I spoke with someone at BMS and apparently all the internals are the same design. This one is made in "CHINA" (Trumps voice) where the BMS is made in USA.
I have been tempted to get a CC for a while. Not sure if I should try this cheaper option or pay the extra for USA made.
Thoughts?!

Looks just like the one i bought off ebay for $40 i believe.

Only bad thing about mine is that the o-ring it came with dried out quickly & i trimmed the wrong silicone tube so mine is mounted kinda ghetto. Gets the job done

It's fine to get one of these, but keep in mind it's not very effective. It only works on the high side and catches very little, but does catch some.

A better option is the RB external PCV kit and low side OCC(different internals than the typical high side OCC), most popular option for this is a Mishimoto at about $100-125, plus the RB kit. If you really want to keep as much oil out and extend the walnut blast interval, tap the head ports.

Some folks opt to do both high and low side with 2 OCCs.

The best option is the BMS Dual OCC kit which has the vacuum side can and the boost side can.

I did the same thing. You can buy new tubes (for $40, ugh) but one of those tubes is regular hose. The U bend is a little more unique.

Interesting! So is getting a CC for the high side even worth it? The low side CC seems a bit complicated in comparison.
I do have an upgraded RBT PCV valve.

You spend most of the time driving not in boost, i.e. low side. That's where an OCC is most useful. High side doesn't hurt when you're pinching it and get into boost, so having both is ideal.

Thanks! Is low side cc still effective if you don't block your port holes? I do not feel like removing the valve cover lol.
Also, why is the vacuum cc piping so small compared to the huge diameter piping of the high side cc? I am worried they would get bunged up.
Edit* - Also, the oil in the intercooler/charge pipe ect, is that from JUST the high side (boost) or does the low side (vacuum) vent into the rear intake piping as well? (when no catch cans are installed)

It is still effective, port plugs are recommended to get the most out of it and prolong walnut blast intervals, but not mandatory. I did mine when I did my VC. If you Google "RB external PCV" there's a long thread with Rob that explains all of it on that other site.

Im sure that will work just like any other catch can made in the US. I might pull the trigger once I get my valves inspected and cleaned if needed.
