2007 335 shakes violently at high speed
Last night I was finishing up a long highway drive on a mostly empty freeway. When diving between 90 and ~105 my car would shake violently. It was especially bad when maintaining a speed in that range or while allowing the car to coast through them from a higher speed. ie. Accelerate to 120 and coast back to 80.
I was wondering if this was just an alingment And balancing problem or if it might be somthing in the engine. Thanks fo the help and sorry for any typos, I'm posting from my phone. 2007 335 manual with dinan st2 |

Could be any number of things but it certainly isn't normal. First thing I'd do is check the tires and alignment. If its under warranty take it to the stealer.

If the car is turning towards a certain direction a on a flat road its alignment. If under heavy braking at high speeds their is a vibration its your brakes. I cant think of any scenario where the engine vibrates at only high speeds.... |

Took it to the dealership. They said all four tires where showing threads on the inside. Also the rims on the right side where bent slightly which is what was most likely causing the vibration. Looks like it's time to get new tires and hopefully the wheels aren't so bad they can be repaired.
