Have you swapped over to winters?

Just want to grasp an idea of how many people have already put on their winters, or when they're going to as its beginning to "look a lot like christmas" fairly quickly. Thanks for the input in advance!

2 days ago, and the roads here are full of black ice/frozen ice at night time, my car never slipped yet impressed.
I am in SK now if it makes sense

I could likely wait another week, but I'm swapping over my winters this weekend.

Just put mine on this week. If you are going to a dealer it won't be cheap. I think they have a $149 special on right now for winter tire install & balance so it wouldn't be more than this, but I can't see a GTA BMW dealer putting your car up on the lift for less than $100 even if your tires are already on rims & balanced.

I'd recommend simplytire if you don't want to do it yourself. I think they do a changeover for $100 or $30 if your tires are already on separate rims. Or, if you have a jack at home it's actually one of the easiest DIY things you can do. Just grab a torque wrench on sale from CT, and a jack adapter & wheel hanger from reverse logic (<$45 w/free shipping - will fly below the customs radar so no tax)

If you're OCD like me there's nothing like that satisfied feeling of knowing that hub surfaces have been properly cleaned and lightly greased, and that each bolt has been hand torqued to 88 lb-ft. :-)

Did it last Saturday right after I picked up my new set of wheels from Buffalo, then it went up to 17 degrees on Monday. Well at least I don't have to worry about driving in snow when it does snow.

Answered my next question. I just got one of those wrenches on sale at CT.
I love doing stuff like this.

Changed mine last week. Wanted to change them a little early as i have Michelin Pilot Alpin PA3 which is tons quieter and smoother than the Bridgestone runflats. Also gave me a chance to clean up my summer rims when the weather was nice.

This weekend, my wife's Toyota tires.

I have my tires sitting there ready, waiting on a new set of rims to show up to mount them on. Looks like they're still a week away at least. I hope I don't get caught out, I'd put them on now if I had them.

changed one side. Don't ask why. Changing the other side tomorrow. KAL tire is doing them at $8 a wheel. Seems a lot for bolting and unbolting.
