I recently got myself a set of kw v2 coilovers for my e92.
I had 20 inch wheels on the car but were way to heavy and scrubbed the guards on the front like crazy.

TODAY I bought a set of 19x8 wheels with et35. The front is perfect the hight im happy with pretty low but not sex spec and only really small amount touching when half turned wheel with 225 40 19michelin ps4s BUT the rear i only have 255 40 19 michelin ps4s and my guards have already been rolled and it is scrubbing on the guard and possibly a tiny bit on the carpet inside the guard!!!

I won't it dropped another 1 inch at least. I thought i went through the threads on here and et35 would place the tyre in a good spot with no camber as i want as much tyre in the road as possible. I seem to be very bloody wrong.... HELP......

The tyre wall should be 30 or 35.
40 is to tall. Your speedo will also be out.

Inside your drivers side door jamb theres a sticker with what wheels and tyres fit.

Yeah i do understand what you are getting at but today test fitted my mates e90 m3 mock-up wheels that are 275x35x19 so the hight of the side wall is very similar and his fits soo nicely i could drop it another inch if not 2 it says +50 inside the wheel though so im assuming his offset is +50.

If i put small side walls it still is poking out inline with my guard so I can't drop it anymore anyway

Easy fix and other poster is dead on. I see your point and when testing your buddy's set how similar they look when mocked up makes it seem like it's pretty much the same. That's not the case and the sizes you need are 30 or max 35 side wall especially running massive 20" size the problem I hear is your widths are way to narrow imo and is worse would be worse off when pairing with a high positive offset.

Was me would order or get new tires 30 series would be my choice for sure and then grab some spacers and get to the alignment machine. From there you can slight push it out while gradual when needed camber in the rear slightly depending how you want it to sit. Also never hurts to do a little roll on the rear quarters for some free added clearance

My wheels are 19 I dropped the 20s because they were to big.
I thought the 30 35 and 40 are just hight of your side wall and are a percentage of the width of the tyre e.g 255mm wide is 102mm high of a 40 series and my mate had 275 wide which works out to be 96mm sidewall on 35 series.

His tyre and wheel is soo much wider and sits well inside the body so no chance of hitting the guard. Where as mine protrudes past so the it scrubs on a less wide wheel and tyre!

My guards have been rolled already and i am trying to keep my the tyres as flat as possible for grip

I have 19 275 45 et 39 9 inch rear

With kwv3 mines at max height and they rub around corners. No Guard rolling


Max your suspension height and see if your michelins can work. They should work but maybe not low enough for your best looking height.

Im really trying to find out what the offset on wheels needs to be that will tuck the tyre right in. I want to keep at least my 255 ps4s. By the sounds of it the wheels need to have a 45 to 50 offset

This makes no sense. Your 19x8 +35 wheels poke 8.7mm LESS than the 19x9 +39 Style 313 wheels that came on the back of the 335is.

There's no way that is rubbing the arch unless your camber is jacked up. When was the last time you had the rear aligned?

As for rubbing the liner, that's absolutely believable since your 225/40/19 is 662mm tall, while the tire that comes on the 19" 313 is 635mm tall. That's a difference of 27mm, meaning the top of the tire is about 13-14mm closer to the liner, PLUS you're lowered.

Will also add that the added diameter of your 40 series tires also puts it closer to the bumper attachment flange, and you could be rubbing there.

I've just put 19x9.5 ET40 wheels with 275x30R19 tyres on my 2008 e92

it's on MSport springs, not lowered beyond that

No rubbing
