2c57 cel low boost
Hi i drive a 2011 335i m-sport sedan and for the past week have been dealing with my car not having full power. I only have a jb4 and now I just installed the arm charge pipe. The car has less power always but only shows the check engine light at wot after a while. I thought it was the chargepipe but when I took it out it was perfect and it still didn't work properly after putting the metal one on. I have gone under the car and removed the intercooler to charge pipe plastic piece and that was fine too. I think it may be the boost solenoid but I'm not sure. The car is under boosting and normally on map five I'm close to 15 psi. Heres a log

I had the same issue with the JB4. Even ordered a new CP to see if that would help but nope. Ended up removing jb4 and boost came back. Never figured out what it actually was but it was with the JB4

Check for boost leaks or possible cracked DV. Also any other codes besides that one because a bad boost solenoid would throw a code.

2c57 code could mean anything. I would get it when accelerating on the highway
I had no boost leaks and my boost solenoid was fine. The code only seems to appear on Map 0 or Map 1 with the jb4. After staying in Map 5 it doesn't show anymore

I went swimming this weekend and lost my keys in a river and i only had one fob . Thats why I hvemt been able to try any of these things but when i get my car back im going to try changing the sollenoid. I bought the arm cp which comes with a replacement o ring which i made sure to oil up. It comes up in map 0,1,4 and 5 so its not map related it think. I will remove the jb4 and see if that does anything but I doubt it because it is targetting properly just not getting up there.

Not sure if a boost solenoid is the same thing as a charging control module, however my mechanic just replaced the charging control module for $100 and it fixed the 2C57 code with my car; similar symptoms but my engine light came on between 2-3k rpms, medium throttle.

Hi guys thanks so much for the help I replaced the boost solenoid with one from the n54 engine because it was cheaper and I had a guy selling it locally and it fixed my problem
Now my car runs better than ever. Im hitting 18.8 psi which seems a bit hit and wanted to see if you guys think there is anything off about this new data log that I took. https://datazap.me/u/ghostisdead/log...log=0&data=1-4 |

I think it was just map five learning my car, now when i get on it it starts at close to 15 and sliwly tapers off to like 13, which brings up another question how do people run like 18 psi flat what makes my boost taper off compared to others? Do they have upgraded turbos?
