Spacedogg has provided some good info. As an addition, you can buy an Airman mobility kit from Canadian Tire for $40 vs the Conti one for 2x as much. The Airman actually looks the same as the Conti. It will probably be easier to get refills for the Airman.

Jaws is right.

When I was buying, I was afraid that the Airman was this cheap knock off thing of the Conti kit (which in itself is a cheaper version of the BMW //M Mobility Kit). But recently, I looked at the Airman at Canadian Tire...and it looks pretty good. The sealant is made by Dunlop...so it's probably good stuff. It's cheap enough that if you use it up, you can probably just buy another if you can't find refills.

That's one very good question! When, indeed?

Did the ASA JH3 from Tirerack come with BMW centercaps (or whatever those plastic things in the middle called)? If so, how much more per cap is it?

If not, where can I get them? I really would like to have those on my winter tires.

When ordering aftermarket RFT wheels, do you guys get 4, or 4+spare? I can imagine one tire got damaged, and I have nowhere to have it replaced...

Smile Bridgestone RFT

I finally solved my RFT problems. I traded my E90 for an E60 with standard tires. The Blizzaks were a sad joke as they didn't grip the road in snow and got dangerous on ice. I exchanged them for Michelin Alpins but of course they are not RFT. The Michelins are great and the improvement in ride, handling and noise was worth the expense.

RFT's go hard after about 20,000 km and get very loud. I ended up having to replace the summer RFT's as they became so loud and hard.

As there is no jack or trunk space for a spare in the E90, a small problem with a flat tire becomes a major issue. Keep in mind also that RFT's should not be repaired. $$$$

My BMW dealer told me they are getting swamped with complaints about RFT noise and ride issues.

The E60 certainly is nothing like the E90 but, at least I have a simple fix for a flat.

Good Luck!
