You'll be the first with headers as far as I know....unless I go tomorrow.

How so? I thought there were a few guys who've posted here with the whole cocktail of mods, no? Could've sworn there was a 128i with 3SM/MILVs/header holy grail.

Sorry it took so long to respond to you...

I had the 3 Stage intake, BMW Euro Air Box with K&N filter, a BMW PE, MILV's and a BPC tune. It's got the Steptronic transmission.

This little 128i was producing more torque than the system would allow, and kept shutting down under WOT.

Acting on BPC's advice, I've had the DME updated by the local BMW dealer, and have also added a Turner Motorsport silicone intake tube.

I've got it back at BPC where Bob is going to re-tune it to the updated DME and deal with the torque limiter issue.

I should have a new dyno run to post later this week...hoping for the best...

...and, if anyone is on the fence about MILV's...trust me...you will not be disappointed...

Kudo's to Marty for his technology...and to BPC for developing a great tune for them...

I'll be following suit next month... Although, I'm sure I need to get my exhaust work tweaked/ redone.

What is done with your exhaust? And are you having a flash tube or a dyno tune?

You’re local, a dyno tune would be best....

Trying to figure out the logistics of driving up there and having a dyno tune done, after my exhaust is completed.

Dyno tune.
About 3 hours away!
Going in to get my sc installed and the car retuned.
Then I'll compile the graphs for:
AA Tune->Bpc tune Stage 2
Stage 2 -> Alpha N (Milvs Conifg.)
Alpha N (Milvs Config.) -> Alpha N (Milvs/SC)

AA headers, custom mids by my indy and remus 335 quad mufflers (these have baffles on the 2 inner tips, they have holes punched through to allow an exit for pressure, but I'm curious as to if cutting em out will give a lil more power, however slight it may be)

Noice. Looks like we'll have 3 new data sets for cars with all of these FBO mods.

I took leave in the middle of the week... Almost no traffic to Raleigh... Should've been BS'ing that morning. On the way back saw like 5-7 troopers!

Finally got my headers in this weekend while doing the oil pan gasket. So much easier to do with the subframe dropped.

Ok so here is the list now, Hopefully AA's offer is still on the table for me to come in. Ill be sending them a PM after this!

2006 330i - Manual
1. Silicone elbow
2. Euro Intake Box with K&N
3. Intake Scoops
4. 3IM
4. MILV's
5. Ceramic Coated Headers

Car feels SO strong right now. I can not wait for the tune.

Sick! Hoefully you have success there. Did you do a baseline dyno as well?

Ill be the guinea pig! I did not do a baseline dyno. I was told AA will do a before tune dyno and then after. Should be interesting!

I bet. If it wasn't for the 3.5 hour shitshow yesterday I'd have installed the manifold too and been ready for a tune. Ugh. Hopefully next week. Headers are en route too. Seriously, I can't wait for it all to be done and dyno it to see a full stock vs. full bolt on setup.
Nice to see someone local (to me) undertaking this!

Would love to see/discuss the setup once it's all done!!

Summer can't come soon enough!!

Interested in these, just picked up a stick 128i.
The car already has, headers, AFE sealed intake, 3IM, and an AA tune.
Just ordered the silicon intake tube.
So from what I understand you just need the tool to remove the springs and remove the valve cover.
The prices and install directions should be posted on the first post since this thread is moving so fast!

See attached!

That's exactly what I ended up doing, that 2 o'clock position worked well.

Crank Pulley. Make sure the car is not in gear or else it will begin to creep forward as you turn.

Lobe positions:

I had a bit of a nightmare midway through the MILV install after getting 3 of them in. I didn't realize that rotating the motor without any Support block present (stock or Marty's) would fuck shit up big time. I ended up popping the cam rocker and the spring out from two sides, one from CYL 4 and another at 6. This was one helluva scary moment, but I after 2 hours of cursing and trying different techniques, I managed to put the rocker back in position while locking it place with the spring arm and ensured the spacing was adequate from the spring arm to the assembly, as well as proper position at the bottom of the rocker and arm. I was minutes away from towing the car to a shop and dreading basically a camshaft re&re job ($$$)...

After buttoning everything back up I took her for a spin and she drives perfectly fine! Looks like my fix is holding and I didn't mess up anything in the valvetrain... Phew! So a word of caution if you're clueless to understanding how the valvetrain functions like me, lol: DO NOT rotate the engine after removing the stock support!

I also wedged a thin extension through the springs and lifted up to give a bit more clearance when pushing the MILV in. Be very careful if you do this, you don't want to unseat it from the arm below the rocker or you'll be shitting bricks like me.
I had one of the springs pop out too!! Totally got that empty stomach feeling of “holy shit”. Ended up slotting a flathead screwdriver to “grab” the spring and put it back into place. A lot of cursing occurred, but luckily it all went back into place. DO NOT use the spring for leverage to get them in.

How could you tell the DME needed to be updated? I am having an odd issue at WOT with my 2011 328i and I put on the MILVs, 3 stage intake, afe intake, and bpc milvs tune. I was thinking it is the DISA valves. It feels sluggish to rev at WOT and has less power than before the tune in high rpm but the computer stores no codes.
