I really don't know - but by going to www.realoem.com you can search for all engine and ancilliary components that are common between different 3 series variants. A very useful site!!

It's gotta be easier to swap cars - there will tons of things different ranging from engine mounts, exhaust systems, shocks (diffferent engine weights), ECU, all the coding that will be required, brakes, etc....

It would probably cost more to do a conversion than to change your car.
As stated you are looking at engine mounts, ecu, wiring, exhaust, suspension, brakes, gearbox etc. Bear in mind stuff like your speedo is coded to the ecu and therefore will not work without being recoded. Unless you have got a complete donor car and can swap everything over. I would't bother. Hope this helps. |

How much do engines cost? For example if someone with a 330d wanted to replace with a 330d for whatever reason. Quite interested to see how much one would cost...

Before that i would contact the bank and remortgage the house then while you are there ask for a few credit cards and since you are there and asking you might as well bend over the managers desk and pull your trousers down!!!

Well real oem shows $22,883 dollars for a 335i SHORT engine. Or $13,707 for a re-manufactured (re-con) engine. BTW a short engine is only block / head and internals, i.e. no ancilliaries or anything external!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...30&hg=11&fg=05 Work out the exchange rate yourself!!! |
