Some say they can fit the grills without removing the door cards but I wanted to do a proper job so had to remove the doorcards to make sure it fits properly.. The bad thing about removing the do cards is that the clips need to be replaced on the silver door trims as they brake when you remove them, so additional £3 quid for clips... took about 25mins tops... I followed a guide on the forum that shows how to remove the door cards and it was quite easy...

Looks alot better. Is the part number the same for E90? And how much did you pay?

Might give this a go..

What clips are you talking about breaking? The ones behind the silver door trim? Im gonna be doing this mod soon but haven't heard of any clip problems.

Prowess, yes its the little rectangular clips behind the silver trims, when you pull the thing off they have brake and rupture... make sure you buy these clips before doing this mod. Trust me even if they dont brake off they make the trim loose and your door will rattle away...

Ive removed my trim many times from the door and haven't even seen any clips that could break. My door trim pops in and out no problem. Either way, awesome upgrade. Only a few have done it and it looks so much better.

I like the look of this mod. Do you know if you can buy the silver surrounds for the smaller tweeter speakers in the doors?
