What is clay?

No not the brown stuff in the ground but the stuff used to clean your car.What does it do and how do you use it? I have only ever used shampoo and polish.

Clay is.... Clay.

You use it with clay lubricant to remove surface contamination from your paint prior to polishing and waxing/sealing

The idea being to remove all surface contamination to ensure an even coverage of wax or sealant.

Claying itself is likely to introduce marring, hence why it is the stage carried out after washing, but before polishing and subsequently waxing.

Sonas do some good stuff. Have a look on cleanyourcar.co.uk thats where i get my stuff from

No he aint hes a muppet, sent me the wrong stuff after I had ordered about £200 of products over a period of 4 months. Told him, he said he sent a replacement, never arrived, told him again, stuff never arrived again. Then he said send the wrong stuff back (at my cost) and still didnt send me the stuff I needed.

For me cleanyourcar = avoid.
