What is clay?
No not the brown stuff in the ground but the stuff used to clean your car. What does it do and how do you use it? I have only ever used shampoo and polish.

Clay is.... Clay.
You use it with clay lubricant to remove surface contamination from your paint prior to polishing and waxing/sealing The idea being to remove all surface contamination to ensure an even coverage of wax or sealant. Claying itself is likely to introduce marring, hence why it is the stage carried out after washing, but before polishing and subsequently waxing. You'll find a lot more info about clay at http://www.detailingworld.com |
