Window ticking creaking...again...

yes i know i know this topic has been beaten to death and its the rubber around the window doing it.

problem is, last time i took iti to bmw i got the car back covered in oil all over the leather the dash...took f.....g hours to clean.
so can anyone recommend a diy solution. any products out there i can use myself??

I get those sounds too and honestly...I don't think there's a solution for that besides replacing the whole thing....

This is caused by silicon in cheaper car washes and waxes. Change to something silicon free and clean the seals with WD40.

Ha Ha!

Know I now why mine started doing it!!

I polished up just the black shadowline window trims as they go all blue-ish from the TFL they use at the hand car wash.

I used some old Mer polish, and low and behold all windows started squeaking!!

It's stopped after a couple off weeks on its own.

Yeah my shadowline trims have got some discolouration to them.......
