Nope havent got either I just wonder if you could tweak the software to just change cluster function. I will see if I use the rest function in the winter otherwise would much prefer the merge button, heck even cheap nasty fiestas have it

Ok, I asked about the PDC and heated seats because the heated seats buttons went up into the cluster. I doubt you would get the merge function with just a software change. You still get the REST function with the new cluster, so that would not be a loss.

Not sure about others but if I had to chose between rest and merge I rather would have merge
Shame theres no hidden function to just set it on the rest button clusters

I don't even know what the 'rest' function does - don't think I've ever pressed it - can someone enlighten me??

It is used for residual heat. You're not supposed to sit parked with your engine running but if you are waiting on a cold day, how do you keep warm?
With the engine off, press the "rest" button and the heater will operate with fan running at a lower rate, provided the battery has enough spare power and until the engine cools down to the extent that it's not worth it. I think the maximum is 30 minutes. |

Yes, although I don't know if its different from the voice control before the factory holidays. Of course it is different to the one of my pre LCI 325d.
I liked the old one better. It was much slower, but it seemed to understand me better.

yippie.
i finally got my bmw320 it is a september 2009 build with the weather climate layout as described by dante will upload some pics soon. the sat nav only accepts 4 alphanumeric postcode (e.g. wd34), not the 6/7 alphanumeric. a tomtom navigation postcode 6/7 alphanumeric is standard. why is this so? also the dvd does not play movies (i have got the professional navigation option) scratch the complaint, it does play movies, dont know what the salesman was on about. i just played a dvd film only gripe i have is the full postcode search. other than that i am chuffed to bits Last edited by bmw_guy; 10-10-2009 at 09:55 AM.. |

Congrats!
Have loads of fun with it. Didn't know it played DVDs (my 2007 didn't). Just went out and tested, works great! Thanks for that!
