M3 Remap/delimit And Remus Race Report

Had The Remus Race Fitted Today By The Evolve Guys And Its Great Sounds Really Roar And Very Mean ,also Had The Remap Done ,not So Sure About That Though As Hasn't Really Given Any Increase In Power But I Am Told This Will Improve As The Car Learns The Program .

We Will See Aa Xpipe Next Followed By Pulleys And Lowering Springs/spacers .

YES I thought it strange ,my car was giving out 412hp when I took it in all it had on was the BMC filter and RPI scoops which don't really do much after the remus was fitted the power went down to 406 hp then after the remap back upto 417hp so only gained 5hp with the remus and the remap ,not too good really and I don't think the car feels any different if I am being 100% honest.

How come your engine wasn't 420 as standard Mike, is this simply fluctuations we seem to hear about with most engines?

What does it sound like?

Neil,

there is a level of adaptation that goes on with all modern ECU's.

This is no myth.

none of the m3 engines hit 420 apparently and mine did well to hit 412, I think?

I must add that I was not expecting masses more power I know its different to mapping a turbo car and this is just the start ,the Guys assure me the AA Xpipe will make a big improvement on its own.

The remap done to mine was really good - the delay in acceleration when you put your foot down especially in the 1st and 2nd has improved tremendously. However mine has the pulleys which again helped

Well, from what I've been told Audi are also good at claiming whatever bhp and is not always the case.

I'm looking into a re-map for the S5 and not a generic map so will be interesting to see what the engine actually is 'kicking out'.

Well........funny you should mention that Mike as I'm still looking. But if anyone wished to profer the info. then that may help me decide. Found a company in Leeds with a dyno etc. but don't know anything about them. Would rather go on recommendation.

Didn't want to hijack your thread and ask Sal tbh.

420 PS is 414HP...

Nothing wrong with your car.

some will come out 400, some 420HP..

Its N/A you wont get much from a re-map... Exhaust id expect 10-15.

Alot of S5 dont make the quoted 350HP, dont worry though. Its same for alot of cars. (Even RS4)

I know of a S5 which with decent zorst and re-map made a healthy 350HP.

All depends on dyno operator and equipmant used also remember.

A few peeps confirming that the M3 does adjust to a remap just takes a few outings .
