Comfort Access help

Hello everyone, I have a 2011 e93. It is hell trying to get into the car, comfort access doesn't work, have to press the unlock button repeatedly before it opens. However it locks on first push of the button. I've been driving with the key in the ignition to recharge but it hasn't helped. Any ideas and help is appreciated.

CA keys are not rechargeable, they have replaceable batteries, I would start there first!

Thank you, dealership totally mislead me on that. I'm assuming the 2 pieces of the key pop apart? Or is there a trick to getting apart?

Remove the metal key, and you will see a little slot that you can use to pry the cover off.

I could close it but I feel doing so would be a victory for the thieves....
