Yep. I'm going with BPC. At the end of the day, the old adage "There's more than one way to skin a cat" comes to mind. There are now, including the different tuning shops available, literally dozens of different combinations of ways to get more power out of these things. Fuel is and always has been, even back to the days of purely mechanical powertrains, the biggest factor. It's the DDE's job to manage that now.

TDI's point of there being simply too many factors to make an absolute call under controlled conditions is the real truth here, considering the multitude of variables involved with modern diesel engine controls. And under the circumstances, the piggyback is clearly working against "the system." Maybe not "severely," but who wants that?

Thanks for the discussion, guys!

DWR, Thanks for using my measurement graph without providing credit as to the source. Definitely doesn't motivate people to share results when you do this.

So you dig up a 2 year old thread to complain that you didn't get credit? Cool story bro.

Torqueisking, you are right. While I did thank you for the graph privately, I should have done it publicly, as has been my practice in the past. Sorry that got overlooked.

However, you could have contacted me privately. When you do this ^ it does not motivate anyone to work with you.

It takes a certain kind of greatness to admit a mistake.

I never see any of his (DWR's) posts, so would't know, don't care. Rude people just turn me off.

There's tons of stuff that gets recycled in forums and sometimes people lose track of who made it. On another form, my calibrations for tdi .234 injectors that I posted years ago still going around and I'm glad it's helping people.

Credit is nice but the reason we share is to help each other and learn!
