5x120 is the bolt pattern and the et40 is the offset. Our e90's have 5x120 bolt pattern. Offsets will vary depending on the desired look and how much u plan on lowering the car because of rubbing issues.

I think most people here have 35-40 offset in the front on 19x8.5 wheels. The rear offset is tricky. I'm running 22mm offset, with ZSP on 19X9.5 wheel. No rubbing as of now and a very aggressive look, the wheels are perfectly flush with the rear fender. I need to lower a bit though (but if I do, I may start to rub, so still debating this). So if you want an aggressive look, you should try rear offsets around 22-28ish, but if you want to be more conservative, go with 30+ in the rear. These offsets are for 9.5 width wheels. You will need to adjust the offset according to the width of the wheel u plan on getting, so play with the configurator to see what works best for u.
