E91 335D Suspension Options?
Hey All,
I've been looking at some of your views on the combination of Shocks and Springs. I think mine are in need of a bit of TLC. Car Spec. E91 (2009) 335D MSport 223k Miles (All Motorway Miles!! ) Lots of power So what do you guys recommend? The Fronts are ok, but the rears are seeping a little oil. Should I do Bilsten B4 with original springs? Thnx |

Depends on the state of your rear springs, are they original to to the car or have they been replaced?
You could start by just replacing the rear shocks then go from there. It's an easy job, the worst bit is removing the interior trim as one section is a bit fiddly. For my E91 325d I changed all 4 springs with eibach pro, and changed all 4 dampers for Bilstein B4 (if you buy them make sure you spec the B4 for msport). Working well for me, handling nicely with a reasonably firm ride. I have a full set of springs that should fit your car sitting at home doing nothing. Never fitted as I decided to fit eibachs instead. Thay are original m sport spec made by Sachs. PM me if you're interested. You can have them for a sensible price. |
