AC Schnitzer reproduction muffler tips for E90 330xi
Anyone have any experience to share in regards to this AC Schnitzer reproduction dual inlet muffler tip? I'm curious if the tip's dual inlets will match up to my 2006 330XI dual outlets on the OEM muffler once we remove the OEM chrome tips.
Here are some specs: Distance Between The Two Inlets : 12MM Inside Diameter Of Inlets : 62MM I really like the look of this dual tip and for $100 shipped, seems more affordable then a $500 authentic version from AC. Can anyone offer any advice on fitment here? Will this work? --S Last edited by 330xiChic; 03-10-2011 at 12:47 PM.. |

why not? it just looks like a slide on and bolt down tip. if you were trying to weld this on... you will prob have to ask the shop. metal might be too thin or may be made from some form of metal that would rust over time.
perhaps thats why its lower in price...

Any idea if the spacing is correct between the inlets on the tip to match up with the outlets on the OEM 330XI dual outlet muffler? |

Well, we measured the OEM muffler tips on the 330XI and they are 11mm apart and 54mm in O.D., so it seems like this tip will work....so we ordered one.
We'll have to see how it fits in with the butterfly valve in the secondary tailpipe. I'll post up pics when we get it installed. |

The tip matched up with the duals coming off the muffler and the tip slid on approx. 25mm before it got really snug. From there on, we had to work in on with a rubber mallet. Took approx. 20 minutes and 17 curse words.
Let's just say that nobody is going to walk by and yank it off. LOL! |
