335D M Sport

There is currently only 1 335d m sport in the country on auto trader. I might consider parting ways with mine soon. How’s the market? I guess these become more rare by the day. I fear the emissions system and I don’t want to delete everything. Don’t want a smokey diesel.

*2011 335 D M sport. Titanium silver over black. Aluminum cube trim.
*75k miles
*Extensive maintenance history with full, detailed records
*Full m3 control arms front and rear
*Powerflex rear subframe inserts
*All e90 recalls completed
*Forge red boost hose and Wagner intercooler
*BPC Stage 1 Engine Tune (emissions in tact)
*XHP stage 2 trans tune and DWR custom tune
*Newer pilot sport as/3+ in 235/265 sizes
*Match PDP 82 DSP amp with custom musicarnw tune
*Recent maintenance highlights include trans flush, new active def tank, diff flush, DPF cleaning among MANY more

Considering the 2 I see in cars.com are retailing for 11,900 with 80k miles.. I’d estimate they’ll sell for 11k. Which puts a good condition private party sale at 20% less then retail so about 9500 is what you could expect to sell it for private party and 7200 is a typical trade in value.

Given folks are not selling them at 14k, these numbers are probably close to what people will actually pay.

Generally private party is 20% below retail and trade in is 40% less on average then retail.

I was offered 6500 for my 2011 335d with 77.5k. Dealer serviced, modifications typically don’t improve resale unless you can find an enthusiast who will pay. They aren’t a factor on trade in.

Since Sport trims are still going for $12k+, I'd assume an M-Sport would be a few grand on top of that. Seems like the market for these cars is drying up....

to the OP and just so everyone knows... in regards to XHP the car having 2 trans tunes here is how it will work....

the car will only have one trans tune installed! if you want to change it you will have to buy another XHP general license it does not transfer with the car. more than likely it will have DWR's tune installed.

if it has DWR installed and you want to change it you will have to buy the general license then buy the xhp stage two.. or if the owner emails you or gives you DWR's tune, when you install it (after you buy the general license) you will lose the xhp stage 2 tune and if you want it back you will have to buy it again.

if you buy a car with a trans tune its stuck on the car until you buy the general license for the car (one per car or owner). make sure you can get a copy of DWR's tune if you plan to change it. if you don't have a copy once its gone its gone.

I just bought my msport for 18k a few months ago. 92k miles. Mint condition. Minus a decent scratch on the lower rear spoiler

Join the FB page...bet you'd catch at least $14K for a sub 80K mile msport with no accident history.

I'm also looking to sell my 2011 335d M-sport Package / 97k Mi / Space Grey with brown leather interior, but in the Los Angeles area.

I'm not willing to put the time and effort for upkeep anymore, but I'm sure someone is.

I'm about to buy a 335d m sport for $22.5k... someone tell me not to haha

1 owner 2011 335d m sport in PRISTINE condition, with 65k miles. Its got HK sound, m package wheels/suspension/aero, etc., nav/i drive, tobacco leather, and was a CA car so zero rust (not even surface rust on bolts under the car).

The guy selling had it delivered to PA from CA, put new tires and brakes on, and had a few emissions related maintenance bits taken care of. Was listed at 24, said he won't go lower than $22.5k.

The heart wants what it wants, but how badly overpriced is this?

That sounds about 6-7k too high for the miles. Just from what I have been seeing them go for at least. You know as soon as they salt the roads around here it won’t matter if it was a Cali car. Haha. I bet the seller will drop the price after it hasn't sold in a couple months.

As a data point, i got my 2012 x5d in 2018 for aprx. Same money and mileage with 14-page of bmw service history and some emissions gear replaced by bmw (active tank 2x, egr 1x)... Ill double its mileage by year end and so far no catastrophic failures. )
So that 335d seems a bit expensive

Ah, you posted twice. I replied to the other one, but I'll echo what everyone else is saying. $22.5K is silly.

about 10-12K from a private owner. Its not a special car.

Retail from a dealer they go for about 12K with 80K miles, 2011 M-sport.

There is a really nice one that was just listed in the diesel section here. It's out in California and needs a carbon cleaning, but looks good and the price is very reasonably.

I have a code currently for reducing agent pressure build plausibility. I believe the pump that transfers def is failing. It should be covered under the 8/80 emissions warranty. If it’s not covered, I’d be more inclined to sell. Thanks for the interest. I have a lot of money invested in the car and pricing will be tricky. The m sport inventory is incredibly limited and I would be extremely wary if buying one from the small mom and pop type dealers where they seem to pop up. A sampling of things I’ve had done recently:

-Full m3 control arms front and rear
-Rear subframe inserts
-Forge boost hose
-Wagner Intercooler
-New active def tank
-DPF cleaning
-New Rear Pilot sport as3+ tire/ and alignment
-Trans fluid flush w/ OE fluid along with mechatronics and all seals
-Diff fluid flush
-Top turbo oil supply line replaced with updated OE part
