Goodwood Festival of Speed 11 - 13 July

Is anyone thinking of going this year? I have been 3 times in the last 6 years and it really is a fab day out for car enthusiasts. Loads of F1 cars from the 60's to present day, Le mans, rally, classic, bikes and other mad cars they are all there. You can get close to the action and there is nothing like hearing an 80's Turbo F1 car full chat up the hill.

Supercars from the present day including Steve A and Real things new Datsun.

There is even the Wacky Racers for the young un's and Carlos.

The manufacturers have stands with latest cars and usually some really interesting classics. Maybe are resident Vivster could get us into the BMW lounge area on the day??

You have to prebook the tickets as none are for sale on the gate.

Friday is the least busy day of the 3 with Sat and Sun generally mobbed.

I would like to go and happy to meet up if there is a group on the day.

I already have my tickets - a friend and i go every year.
We have Friday tickets again this year, simply because it's that much quieter.

Been every year since it started in 1993 and wouldn't miss it, although it's not as good as it was before it became really popular. However it's still the best classic event of the year by miles.

Who is coming on Friday???

We have done a lunchtime picnic on the lawn before (In the rain 2 years ago). Is anyone up for this?

The Miswah has offered to get the fresh stuff in as we are yocal and have a freezer box we can keep in the car. I am sure I can fit a few beers in.

Are we meeting up in Petworth again for a little convoy in?
I can't remember whether Ian and James said they were coming or not?

No probs will you be early doors again?

Is Jay not coming? - he is a top bloke and very funny. I especially liked his analysis on the Lotus and the plane.
