Question Supressing the exhaust noise (with less HP loss)

Folks, my current set up is:
UR high flow catted downpipes + RR catless midpipes + the stock exhaust.

FYI: Going totally catless IS NOT an option.
My question: which of the following configuration will reduce the exhaust noise with the least HP loss?

Configuration A:
Stock downpipes + RR catless midpipes + the stock exhaust

Configuration B:
UR high flow catted downpipes + stock catted midpipes + the stock exhaust

Thank You for well thoughts and well informed inputs/feedback in advance.

Sorry, I can't go catless...the emission test here is very strict.

My buddy's is a Vibrant dealer. Hit up www.speeddemonperformance.com

Shoot them an email. Hes going to need a part number so search on www.vibrantperformance.com for what you specifically want.

They range in lengths and diameter. As well as flow in terms of perforated core, most performance least sound deadening, to baffled which is more sound deadening, more loss of performance. Obviously the longer the more it can reduce sound.

They are universal so just pick the right length diamater style and piping size.

The stock rear mufflers are actually really loud.
Keep the stock H pipe and change your rear mufflers to magnaflow in left out right mufflers and you'll dig it.

Edit, config B will be better for power and be better for sound.

I use vibrant mufflers in a lot of my applications...they are good quality. I built the X5 N55 exhaust with them, truck sounds mean...

I have a vanguard exhaust with catless downpipes , its getting too loud for my taste lately. I'm expecting RB turbo's soon and i hope that will solve alot of the drone and loud noise , cause i know the sloppy wastegates have alot to do with the bad sound.

If its still too loud i would like to add some resonators. The Vanguard is already equiped with 2 resonators in the midpipes.
So what should i do? Take the original resonators out and replace them with Vibrants , or should i add an extra set ?
I did not have a good look under the car , but do we have some space to mount these resonators ?
I like the extra quiet straight thru resonators that they advertise on their site , but maybe their diameter is too big to fit.

Here's a link to a muffler that I added to Borla midpipes. Vibrant may work well also, but I wanted something with more sound absorbing material.

Question

Do those catalytic converters on the OEM midpipes actually reduce emission or just for there to suppress noise?

They reduce emissions. And since a cat is a lot more expensive than a muffler or resonator, no manufacturer would use it primarily to suppress noise.
