FS: Lux H8 LED AE's
Just installed Alpine HID AE's so I'm looking to part with my Lux H8's.
~ 1 yr old with about 8000 km on it (yes, I have extremely low mileage on my car. ) Asking for $180 OBO. Local pickup in Toronto. Original price $280 USD: http://www.namotorsports.net/detail....rt_cd/MDSLUXH8 PM me if interested. |

What is your review of the Alpine HID AE's. Was thinking of going to the LUX H8 but interested in your opinion of the Alpines. Have Weisslicht LED's already but not very impressed with them.

Would also liek to hear what you think. I know they are amazing during the daytime, but at nightime do you think they may be too bright?
I want the ring's to be visible at night and don't want a big bluur of light.

The Lux H8's look awesome when it's overcast and at night. It's still hard to see when it's in direct sunlight. I drive during the day a lot so I'd like something a little brighter. I like them so far since they're dazzling bright. The Alpine's aren't as "clean" of a solution as the Lux though.
They're both really good in my opinion and I think it comes down to preference. And btw, Weisslicht is terrible. I still believe is a design flaw. The light sources used should output a little less than the Lux H8's but the actual output is far from the Lux. It's the V-shape design that doesn't work since it doesn't feed the light into the right area (at least for the E90 LCI). |
