E91 Boot badge (Roundel)

So my boot badge (roundel) has fallen off and I need a new one. Well the adhesive degraded and the BMW bit fell off. The silver mounting plate is still there.

Firstly can I buy just the part with the adhesive on and stick back on or do I have to get a whole roundel?
Secondly, it looks like there are two different size roundels - 82mm and 74mm. Am I correct in saying that for the E91 boot lid, the correct part is 51147166076, and that it is 74mm?

Nearly fell off my seat when I found out a genuine roundel is around £45 - £50! So looking for a used or after market one, but need to make sure I get the correct size

I think you'll need to buy the whole roundel, and unfortunately the touring size is unique and doesn't appear readily available in the aftermarket. Yes the part number ending 076 for the E91.

Thanks for that. These do seem hard to come by. Been messaging people who are breaking E91's and not had any luck yet. Part of me wonders whether they can't be bothered to remove the badge from the boot lid, or they want to sell the boot lid complete.
One will turn up sooner or later. No way I'm paying £50 for a new one!

Cant believe how hard it is to find a used one of these! Or even a cheap copy!
Why the hell did bmw decide the E91 needed a different size to the rest of the E9x range?

Anyone else on here replaced the boot badge on a E91? Where did you get yours from, or did you bite the bullet and pay the ridiculous price for a genuine one?

Pretty dumb to make a badge that only fits the E91

Found a used one - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175636327058

Or a new one cheap - https://www.schmiedmann.co.uk/en/pro...t=B51147166076

Thats a good effort!
The first one on ebay, I actually bid on and am currently winning the auction. However, the part number in the title is different to what it actually is! Picture number 2 on the listing shows the back of the badge and the number on it is different. I messaged the seller and they said they made a mistake when listing it. I cant retract my bid as there are less than 11hrs left on the auction and I placed the bid days ago when I'm sure there was only one picture. The seller has said they will cancel the sale if I do indeed win it. Not sure why they haven't changed the listing since I pointed out the mistake.

The second one is out of stock.

I've messaged loads of people breaking whole cars and people selling just the tailgate, but ive had absolutely no luck. I'm sure breakers just can't be bothered to remove the badge. Some just even ignore my messages!

I paid £39 from Prentice Portadown BMW on ebay. That was in 2021 though, so I doubt prices have gone down in the time being. Fecking expensive for a damn logo, but I couldn't be bothered to fanny about with it or have to buy twice.

Bit the bullet and bought a new one! Got the badge and the rubber grommet things for just over £42 which included a 10% discount and free postage.

Was just having a conversation on marketplace with someone who had some used ones. Pictures were sent over and I was ready to do a deal until he told me how much he wanted - £40 for a second hand badge! Robbing bastard! So then thought sod it, for an extra couple of quid I might as well buy a new one. Either way I've been bloody robbed, but hey ho at least I've got a nice shiny new badge coming!
