Combox retrofit succes, want BMW apps

Hey,

I did my combox retrofit succesfully now i need help getting the BMW apps to work.
Can someone help me with iT.
Also getting the SOS error when turning ignision on. ( need some help with that also )

First, which build date is your E91? Until March 2007 you had an K-Line vehicle. From 2007/03 or newer it's DCAN. What hardware have you had before? MULF2 and TCU? Only TCU? Old CCC? Combox Media or Telematics? When it's a DCAN vehicle with MULF and TCU, and you retrofited Combox and you've wired everything right then you need to code it right incl. the VO depending on the original biuld date!

Need more info to help you....

For Apps (app_id: 9C) you need an FSC or specific CIC version! Can help you aswell but need more info

Not trying to hijack the topic, but I'd like to know the same. Although I don't have a retrofitted combox, I have one factory fitted (2011, CIC, no USB under arm rest).

Without USB under the arm rest of 6NR Cradle you can't get BMW Apps to work. Also you need a Iphone, it doesn't work with Android for e-series.

Timothydevisser - Was it tough finding the twisted pair up in the passenger footwell? How did you tap the existing wires?

Sorry for the late response.

I have a e91 2006,with ccc prof retrofitted a Cic with combox and coded iT.
USB under armrest working fine, can play spotify true iPhone to USB with album art on screen.

Now i want apps so i can instal spotify in Cic menu.
Combox version 05 and Cic c1a (latest)

Think i need the FSC for changing the menu from BMW life to connected drive
This is where i need help

Not sure what you are asking, twisted pair up ?
I only used the 12v from my quadlock.

How did you retrofit? Patch? Skript? Emulator?

Best Way is Patcher from intel123. It's genius! Just create yourself the necessary FSC and upload it into the car -> code it and have fun!

There is a How2 in this forum! Just search for it
