Cleaned up the hose routing of my relocated expansion tank and removed that annoying blue sticker on the radiator cover so now everything is monochromatic.

Stock 535i/xi expansion tank. No brackets, just some nuts, bolts, washers, and a cylindrical spacer. Where the bottom of the tank Ts into the oem cooling is pretty robust so it is mounted securely with just those 2 upper points, the angled belly of the tank is also flush with the fender liner.

how did you route the vacuume line for the brake booster? and did you tap into it before or affter the 2 small lines come off it? installing inlets and doing all of the vacuume hoses here so thinking might as well get rid of that ugly thing too.

I relocated my solenoids and vac tanks to the firewall area so those two lines which normally run over the valve cover have been removed. The brake booster like was replaced with some heater hose, it runs from the HPFP, under the charge pipe and all the way to the master cylinder.

This isn't really an engine bay picture but I thought it looked kinda neat so I figured I'd share anyways.

If you have DCIs attached to the intake tubes OR intake manifold exposed please remove yourself from this (very old) thread. DCIs look unfinished and the intake manifold is unattractive (understandable as it was designed to be hidden unlike most other BMWs). You will need a Dinan, AFe, ECS closed box that covers the exposed manifold to contend. Carry on now.

One more question since that is without a doubt the best modified engine bay I've seen that appears all OE.

Is that the entire cowl and cabin air filter assembly direct out of an E60 535i? I now notice you even have the two arm passenger side wiper. Is that entire assembly direct bolt in to the E92?

EDIT: I just realized your car IS an E60 535i.... I forget that the N54 section of Bimmerpost is common for all platforms. I wish I could make my E92 be as clean and accessible as your engine bay, oh well.

Why install something that creates more work every time you have to get under the hood to fix anything if you don't want to? Asthetics are secondary to many folks.

I thought you were going GTR? Jeeps are equally as fun when off-roading or driving over Honda civics

It's actually supposed to be paint matched I had it made up its lemans blue. I used the left overs for this not exactly the same color but close.
