18x8.5 ET23 fitment

I have 18x8.5 ET23 squared wheels. I need to replace my front tires and it's 255/35 and currently rubbing. Can I get away with 245/35 or should I stay with 255 and raise the front a little to stop the rubbing?
My car is significantly lowered on ST coilovers.

My car is a 2012 E92 335i LCI and fenders are rolled btw.

How much front camber are you running? With camber of -2.0º or so you should be able to clear your current setup without rubbing, although it depends on the ride height and tire brand.

Although it's a smaller-than-OEM diameter, downsizing to 245/35 will make things much easier as the tire will be shorter and narrower, giving you more room all around.

I was running that exact setup and only rubbed when it was absolutely slammed. I raised it a hair and it was golden. How low is it??

It's pretty low. No gap and tire is like really close to fender where a slightly uneven road will cause it to rub, but not that bad of a rub. My car pulls to the left too so not sure if it's tire related. My front camber is -0.90 and -0.88I believe. I need to double check on the alignment sheet. I planned on getting Michelin PSS to match the rear.
