These calipers are weak. Pads are small. Depends how you drive. What tires.....Anyhow, what disk you used?

What's everyone's choice of pad? It seems there is a lot of average pads out there. Is the DOT friction rating a reliable indicator of fade resistance and response?
Not all pads have DOT ratings on them. Some are sold as being ECE R90 compliant.

Genuine pads are DOT FF (front) and GF (rear) rated. Genuine front M pads are GG. I can't remember what the rears are.

Only asking this question as this mod is quickly deviating into a pissing contest like on the Golf groups to see who can fit the biggest baddest brakes on the smallest cars. A good set of pads can outperform a big ass brake with average pads.

Also interested in this question as I fitted EBC Red Stuff after doing the front/rear F30 Brembo upgrade with an E92 M3 Master Brake Cylinder and Goodridge Stainless Lines with Castrol React Performance Dot 4 Racing Brake Fluid...brakes suck!
Did a full bleed using a power bleed and then using INPA (due to changing the master brake cylinder)
I put it down to the pads as they simply do not work when cold and with some heat are bearly passible. Have to smash the brake pedal to get any form of braking which means I have no confidence in the car

About to pull the trigger on some Ferodo DS2500 (Front - FCP4611H / Rear - FCP4663H)

I'm planning on upgrading my brakes in the future once I get more power but I have a bit of a dilemma. I'm going to do a 17 inch conversion to the rear, so the rear calipers will most likely not fit. If so, would I be better of getting a Stoptech BBK for the front ONLY? Its about $200 more. Would I need the m3 master cylinder as well?

The F30 m perform rears are only slightly bigger than stock 335i discs, I think you shouldn't have any problems as there should be plenty of room

Hi, I am new to this forum, and just spent the all day reading this post!
I have a 2009 E92 335i (Modded with FBO, COBB...) with stock brakes on it (Single pots) and on hard breakings above 200Km/h I felt vibrations on my steering wheel... So I understand that I have to change my front rotors...
But then, as most agrees, the standard brakes are not really good on feeling or initial bites. So I thought since I have to change the rotors and break pads, why not looking for a complete upgrade. (I don't really care for the look). That's how I arrived here!
I am keen on the F30 upgrade, but then I saw that it might not work with my wheels: OEM 18" Style 162.
Sooo, I am back to 340mm rotors as I understand.
In that case is F30 340mm Brembo, with M3 E90 MC, would be a real upgrade ?
Or should I just buy good new rotors and EBC or Ferodo sports Brake pads??
Also is M3 MC an option to upgrade these single pots calipers?

Regards

How can I talk with you? I’ve got a set of 370/380 calipers F+R, but Now I don’t know if I’ll go to M3/M4/M2 disc or F30 performance. It’s for a BMW E92 335i

I love how M513 alloys looks with my F8x brake kit 380mm front and 370mm rear.

PS.
Not my car, but my customer car.

Is anyone still selling the offset bushes?

I notice that the eBay UK link is no longer active.

If so, can you please PM me as I am interested in buying a set.

TIA.

Looking at a pair of 4 pot calipers in red claimed to be from an M4. I've only seen pictures of them, and the only markings I can see are "BMW", "P440" and "BREMBO". No 340 or 370/380 markings. What are these? Will they bolt on to my E92 335i? What rotor will work with them?

They sound like they're painted 340 callipers ?
As far as I'm aware M2/3/4 s only came with blue M performance callipers. These are either from an upgrade kit OR as I said painted. The 370/380 variants definitely have that in the casting. So you'll be looking for 340mm discs

Gotta get pics to know. I have an authentic performance pair that doesn't have the 370/380. It just depends when it was released. There is a red set from Hong Kong making its rounds on eBay and forums that is fake. Esp the one that has the external piping as thats a technique from an old Brembo design.

There are other casting numbers you can reference if the pads are taken out. IIRC, ECS has some pics that look like mine on their m-performance kit page. The inside cast numbers were visible there too.

Trying to find the picture, but seems like they aren't up right now (hopefully nobody bought them). Key is they ship from Hong Kong and they usually have external hard piping between the two halves of the caliper -- everything else looks similar.

Probably they look nothing like the original Brembo and only someone completely clueless will go for them....just because it says Brembo for BMW and price is low!
