How to save brightness setting on rear view camera? Or change default via coding?

Is there a way to have the brightness setting for the rear view camera saved, or is there a way to change the default brightness (coding, perhaps)? It currently defaults to 0%, which is OK but a little bit dark with the camera I'm using, and I'd like for it to be set at 50%. I am using a 3rd party rear view camera emulator. Thanks!
