I have a genuine used bmw fin for sale if your interested its in silver with 3m tape, so you just need to unpeel the tape cover and stick it down. £25 posted.

Thanks but im not sure if 3M tape will stick it securely enough? Also I need one in Sparkling Graphite and will probably want to use the glass adhesive as supplied with the new fin..

you can hardly compare that to a stick-on ariel that does nothing. Reminds me of the late 80s where people stuck on dummy mobile phone antenna.

Give him a break guys!?

He only wants to improve the drab looks of the E90...and who blames him?
I think the roof looks kind of naked without the aerial anyway...but lucky i have sat nav!!

It's happened hasn't it?

E9x prices are fallen enough for the chav-tastic modding to commence...

Carlos said it wouldn't, I was hoping it would take another year or so at least!

I don't think fitting a standard part is Chav-tastic, after all many, including me has fitted an M3 lip spoiler to our 320d's.

My comments were inline with Xenon reminding me of the 80's and tacky add ons.

That's true, at least it's OEM and I agree, it's more akin to putting an OEM "Performance" part on...

Have noticed a new trend in posts, so think it is starting to happen

Suppose this is one of the subtle mods, but still its a dummy aerial which makes you look like your car has nav.

Having a shark fin is not making people think the car has satnav as for a start most people don't even realise that the fin actually has a technical use, secondly most think its a styling/aero mod and as someone has already said the roof looks bare without one.

If we live by that token is it ok to spec your new 318i with the M sport pack or god forbid even the performance kit making people think your car is something it isn't?

What about the M3 lip, by having that on my car am I trying to make people think my car is an M3.....

Come on, its a subtle styling mod and certainly not akin to a cheap shitty fake aerial and lets not forget its its OEM and not crap off Ebay.

That's pretty much what I was getting at. Sadly, I'm in any position to change motors for a good few years to come.

Well, what we could do is ask the mods to create "miserable, poor sods" sub-forum and hang out in there...

People will be putting 'go-faster' trim stripes on the E9x soon.

Can you imagine a day when BMW sell them as part of their performance range?

I'm sorry I don't understand, why would you want to fit a fake telephone aeriel on your roof?

This seems very odd. It isnt there to look good, infact it looks a bit ugly, its just there for technical reasons?
