Disable Door Chime not working - CC_ZUENDSCHLUESSEL
I have a '07 E90 and I'm trying to disable the annoying door chime when the door is open and the key is inserted. I set the Kombi module CC_ZUENDSCHLUESSEL to nicht_aktiv. My cluster reset along with the time after the coding was successful, but I still get the chime.
I noticed in the spreadsheet there was another value "ZUENDSCHLUESSEL_WARNUNG" that seemed to indicate the same behavior, but there's no module listed next to it. Any ideas? |

I coded this recently on another 2007 E90.. we thought the code didn't stick because his door dong kept going off after we programmed the car. Then he called me 30 minutes later. by the time he got to the mall the dong went away permanently.. it may need to exist in your car for awhile before it works. GL

The gong only goes away with the key in the ignition but the IGNITION OFF.
If the key is in the ignition with the ignition ON and the door open, it still gongs. |

Ah, thanks for the clarification. That might be it. Is there any way to have it disabled with the ignition on?

I second this, mine didn't work either. Tho my car loses communication a lot, I think. I just keep coding until it lasts a while then re read it to confirm the parameter change lol. This has worked in 3 other changes or modules. But the gong is still there...define "ignition on"? Mine gongs on all states of ignition no matter what with key in. I'll see if it goes away on it's own?
I read the KOMBI and ZUENDSCHLUESSEL_WARNUNG is nicht_aktiv. I don't know if the coding completed or if it needs to reset itself somehow. This car for some reason likes to lose communications and gives a lot of errors. I always just re try it about 10-20 times until it works. Never seems to corrupt anything either lol |

As an update, (I don't know why people don't ever report back it's very helpful). I used a different computer and coded it, it went perfectly fine and it appears to have "reset" the kombi when done. Had to set time, and chime gone. So I beleive the manual reset would have worked. I simply downloaded and rewrote the psw trc file to the .man and resent it. I think I tried this before but computer didn't work. Squirrely buggy software. But I also now know my surface tablet laptop often loses comms there for some reason. The other laptop worked great. DONG GONE!
