2012 335i (Need Help) Loss of Power
Hey everyone!
This is my first time posting here and need some help. I have a couple problems with my 335I, it has 80k miles on it and recently broke down on me. Turns out it went into limp mode because of a broken charge intake pipe. I took it in, was charged 650$ to get the rear one replaced. As soon as I got in my car it didn’t feel normal, it was pulsing while idling and thought it was because of the new part installed. Whilst driving I noticed I had lost a lot of power when pressing my gas pedal. It didn’t feel the same and felt like it wasn’t accelerating the same at lower speeds. I also have some other problems that I’m getting fixed, such as smoking from the engine bay due to a valve cover leak (getting fixed currently) and squeaking noise when I use my JB4 Tune. Possibly PCV Valve. If y’all have any ideas to why my car lost some power please let me know!! Thanks! |

Take it back. May need the codes reset or if you drove it for a bit with the bad charge pipe, it’ll need to re learn by driving for a bit.
I had to drive an hour home when mine broke and once I installed the new one it ran like crap for a few miles and would stall every time I stopped. 15 mins later it was all good and I oddly never even got a code. N55’s always need PCV’s around 80k miles unfortunately so I would do the whole valve cover just to be sure. |
