But perhaps down the line when we can work out the bugs & someone can make a simple bracket for us - I'll finally buy a set.

The clamping force (brake torque) & stopping precision these offer are well worth the money. I'm currently still seasoning the rotors & bedding the pads followed by scheduling one last blake bleed. After that, I can really see what these are capable of...
:thump:

How much is the whole kit?
What's the bracket look like I might be able to make one. I need a drawing though a good one, if I can help I will
The rear caliper would bolt up except for a couple of things
The bolt holes are m10 and need to be m12
The holes place the caliper on the wrong radius and this needs to be increased 2mm
The bracket would need to place the caliper inboard by a few mm(disc dependant)

There's a post in this thread from feuer that has a drawing in it that shows what the issues to be resolved are I'll see if I can find it

Not really a room for a bracket unless you go for larger rotor like 370/380mm

feuer is right I don't think a bracket can be made because of the knuckle

Still haven't fitted mine yet!

Does anyone have a standard 335i master cylinder handy that they can take some measurements for me ? I'm about to embark on this little adventure and I need to make sure the master cylinder will fit before do it...

I do. One at home and few at the shop I think. Let me know what measurements you need exactly.

I've measured the master cylinder that I bought and I want to compare. Just need to get the photos on here

Here we go ... is this thing gonna fit? If not, can it be engineered to ? If not can a TRW booster be made to fit ?

Just from those pics i'm 95% sure the section that sits inside the booster is too long on the TRW master.

I will dig up my collection tonight

That'd be awesome if you could. If you're right maybe it can be spaced out?
Also the measurements were taken with out the yellow cap on. I'm not smart but I ain't stupid. Lol

Ok here are some rough measurements (had to Flintstone it because i didn't want to cause an avalanche inside the garage haha)

Booster mounting stud distance: approx 13cm from the centre of each stud
Hole in booster for master to insert: approx 43mm diameter
Length of thick section that goes inside the booster: 59mm
Length of the skinny section (farthest point of the master which goes into the booster) :33mm. Diameter is 16mm

All measurements are approximate, based on a stock 135i master cylinder with 22/25 ports. I didnt measure the fluid inlet ports as you would best get a matched reservoir.

It looks close but not exact but it could be your measurements or mine are out...

Did you say you had a spare booster ?

Those are my yellow rears. I was the first guy to bring these to Fab Factory and they did a great job with them. Since I was the first they had to design a fixture to hold the calipers in the CNC machine which is what you see in the pics. There's no bracket for the calipers when machined this way. You still have to drill out and elongate the mounting holes in the knuckle.

You're probably in a good spot to advise... I've got a couple of options at the moment. I want the brakes in but I don't want to spend too much time or energy on getting it to happen.
My options are
Install the front set and put up with the soft pedal
Install the fronts and purchase a LHD master and pay to adapt the lines
Install the fronts and pay to adapt the master I have maybe use trw booster?
Install the fronts but wait until I can find a RHD m3 master

Or Wait until I have all of the pieces and do it all in one go

Thanks r99 I believe you because I know that you've done it but I'd love for someone to explain why that would be the case as my humble logic says that it shouldn't.

There are three times more pistons in the front and only double going into the rear. Maybe it's the area of the pistons ... ?

Did you end up changing your master cylinder @R99 ?

It sounds like maybe I should do the fronts and then the rears later ....
