bumper repair average prices?

I have dent/chip in rear bumper (rear-ended) and scratches on the front bumper on the right side (separate accident).

What is the average price per bumper for repairs?

My dealer quoted me $500 per bumper, so $1000 total. I went to a body shop and they said $900 for both ($450 each).

Should I shop around more or is this around normal?

This is a for a 2008 335i sedan.

Thanks,

I have a little dent on a front bumper, was quoted about $600 to fix by my insurance. Went to BMW dealer to confirm, and they say $600 can restore a bumper. I'd say the rear one should be about $100 cheaper.
So looks like you're within the reasonable price.

A new bumper is 340 from tischer. So it may not be worth having your bumper fixed, but instead just buying a new one and having it painted.

I had a small paint chip on mine and the estimate came in at $350. Then they realized I needed a whole new bumper and that cost around $1000. Luckily insurance paid for it.

I got upset on a snowy day and the car got stuck so I finally hit the passenger front.... And the other day I hit the back by the stupid thing behind me that I already seen unfortunately it was two of them. The cost for the front and the back was $500 to repair so I decided not to buy fully insured and use the money for repair (if needed) rather than given away.
