Hi fellas. Just saw this on my MOT history. Checked today 09/06/21 and the message states it's been recalled today. Does this make sense to anyone? What to do now? See image below. Thanks.

I would check the bmw site and enter your vin or reg: https://www.bmw.co.uk/en/footer/quic...e-recalls.html

Usually bmw will contact you but just get in touch with your local dealer and they will sort it

Got it back from the dealer today. They mentioned something about reprogramming…although I've lost my digital speedo, the car sounds different. Brakes are firmer. Overall more responsive car now
Thanks for pointing me the right direction, gentlemen.

What did they reprogram? I asked them to update my bluetooth but since they said they could only update all ecu's at the same time, and mines mapped, I said don't worry about it. Wondering if maybe updates fine tuned the car a little for you?

84Reasons Not sure what they programmed exactly. Was informed it was the final process of the recall service. Makes sense they're able to only update all ECUs at the same time seeing as I lost all my retrofits except the angel eye DRLs which stay on whenever the engine's running. Mines not mapped. It's a 4-pot that's just serviced regularly (3x in the last year) depending on how hard/long I push it but yes to the fine tuning part. The car did feel quicker and even more after I ditched 19s for 18s. Don't think it's been in for a recall for quite some time. I think they woke it from slumber.

Ah that's fair enough mate that sounds good! Always nice to get a refresh. BMW told me independent garage's can update each module independently so will do that I think.
