87 octane without ethanol
Has anybody tried 87 octane without ethanol? Some people claimed that regular gas without ethanol performed like 91 with 10% ethanol.

it's not going to perform like 91 - ethanol or no, it has a lower octane rating. It would run just fine, but it's not going to have the same performance.

If 87 ethanol-free had the properties of 91 octane, it would be called 91 octane.
Ethanol is an octane booster, btw. That's why turbo cars can really up the boost and timing with it.

Also to add, at least where I live 87 E-free cost as much, or more than 93 E10.
