Philadelphia climate

Completely off topic, but I was wondering if anyone had any insight on Philadelphia's weather...I'm moving over there for school next week and debating if I want to keep on the winters or put on the summer wheels..Looking online weather seems to be pretty nice now..

Thanks in advanced

It's been a mild winter. My ws60s are probably wearing down quickly since its been warm, but if your tires are made of a harder compound like the blizzak LMs I would put them on. I'm on all seasons with awd right now, I still see people with summers on...

It's debatable. Ive been on LM60's but in the past few weeks, I've been running on Hankook RS-3's. As long as you don't drive like a imbecile, you'll be fine. Sure the tail end kicks out once in a while, but that's half the fun

I'm probably taking my blizzaks off saturday or sunday. Realistically, I don't expect there will be much chance of snow beyond the middle of march. That leaves me with like a week or so of "risking" it.

My plan is to look at the 10-day forecast this coming saturday and make the call.

I'm praying for a lot of snow in March. This ski season has been pathetic and of course it's the first year I've had a season pass. That being said I never put winters on either one of my cars this year and I've been fine. The end of October was the only serious snow we've had.

God, same here. I was "planning" on switching my Cobb to the stock map for winter but, since we never got winter, I have been on stage 1 aggressive the whole time. On blizzaks. Which are 225s. I'm afraid of what I'm going to find when I take them off, but I think I only need them to do 1 more winter (this is their 2nd winter) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

You, sir, have more confidence in PA weather than I do. I didn't want to get stranded so I put mine on in mid December (knew I had a western PA trip coming up and the weather is usually ass there - which it actually was, so I'm glad they were on). Now, had I said "oh I'll wait till it gets bad" I'm sure it would've started dumping snow at the most inopportune moment. I'm sure me putting on my snows out of an abundance of caution totally jinxed our ski season. I have gone 0 times this winter. My bad.

I'm really glad someone else thinks like I do...I was kind of trying to achieve a snowy winter by not putting snows on! Realistically I just didn't want to drop the $
