Side mirrors acting funny

Every time I start my car up, the side mirrors especially the passenger side one seems to be in random spots.
Especially if I put it in reverse, then it never goes back to the original position.

Any advise?

I had this going on and oddly enough, setting my seat position and mirrors, then program locking on my seat for memory 1 corrected it next start up.

Very common issue. Lots of threads here addressing this.

Basically you will need to remove the mirror lens, unscrew two screws (or one can't remember) holding the motor in place, disconnect the motor and clean the connector.

Sometimes disconnecting alone will do the trick without any need of cleaning.

Total time needed 10 mins

yep mine did that under warranty and they replaced the motor I believe, but it's doing it again, pass side only

p.s. imagine if all they did was clean the connections, they bill BMW for the motor under warranty, they pocket the motor, then charge a non-warranty customer retail. dang.
