N54 - where to buy reasonably priced oil filter removal tool

I'm planning to do my own oil changes from now on my E90 335i.

Is there a recommended seller of that oil filter removal tool that's required? I'm sure the dealer spare parts will cost a packet.

I've seen a few on Ebay, but don't want one that will break when I use it...

cheers

Supercheapauto use to sell a rubber wrench about $17 to my memory, not sure if they still got them.

"meat beaters"? My hands?

I thought we had to use some 1billion-sided (slightly exaggerated...) tool that matched the profile of the oil filter cover? Would that strap type also work?

Something like this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/86mm-Oil...EAAOSwt5hYfb1~

And do I need to use a torque wrench, or just hand-tighten?

cheers

Yes your hands lol. I was jk. This is what I use
https://www.ebay.com/p/2-PC-Rubber-Strap-Wrench-Set-69373-US-SELLER-Pittsburgh/2254947944?iid=262707652064

And then I put in on by hand and use strap to make sure it's tight.

I'd rather use a $10 ebay cup type tool than rip the plastic cover to pieces every time.

25Nm is basically a tiny bit more once the cap seats against the housing.

Don't use Ryco, Cooper, Sakura filters on these cars. They collapse and are annoying & messy to remove.
