BMW Professional bluetooth not working

Hi!

Hope you can help.

Basically the stereo has been working fine for 3 years. But driving home yesterday while I was on a call via the Bluetooth I lost the Bluetooth signal and was unable to reconnect. The problem lies with the cars Bluetooth and not my I phone as the telephone is showing blank on the display. The next day it was strangely working but then 5 mins into a call it cut off again! Seems like a intermittent fault, I have checked the battery connection as some people on the forum say its the connections on the battery?

The CD player and radio works fine, looking at various other posts some say that their radio etc is also playing up.

Any ideas???

Mine did that, the MULF unit in the boot was dead. Seems fairly common for the older ones.

Hi, thanks for replying, is that the thing under the rear seat? what does MULF stand for?
Did you fit yourself? did it need recoding? get a second hand one?

its under the rear part of the boot carpet.

How old is your car? Mines an '06.

I fitted a later MULF2 from a newer car (i did a writeup about what was needed to fit it as well). In theory it needs coded, but mine just worked.

Mine is also a 2006, which year did you get the MULF2 from? if you can send me the link of the write up I would appreciate it!

How much did you roughly pay for it?

Just to confirm your fault was also intermittent? If I hook the car to diagnostics would it tell me if its the MULF2 or not?

Think it was about £120ish on ebay.

Hi guys. Sorry to hijack this thread.

It's my first post so I can't make a new topic and searching didn't help. I have an 08 335d which I recently acquired as my commuter for work. I'm having issues with my phone and the business cic. Basically it all works fine but if I phone or someone phones me they can not here me at all. The voice command system works so the mic must be fine. I have a Samsung note 4 and wondered if it's in need of a software update. Telephone software is TX-003.005.006. Is this the latest? Also it always says microphone muted even if I tick or untick the box during a call. Please help, it really gets to me and I really don't need a fine over this.

Did you need to get a new unit coded when you replaced it or was it just plug and play if like for like part?
