Flash programming with Midtronics GR1?

Hi,

I have access to a Midtronics GR-1 battery charger (and GRX-3000 if that's better). Any thoughts on whether this would work to perform ECU programming? GR-1 has a continuous charging mode - I was thinking this might work.

I'm trying to reprogram a module in my 2011 (March) 335d.

If I could find an INC-700a, I would use that of course...

Both will probably work, but not ideal. If I remember correctly neither have a dedicated 'power supply' mode like the GR8 model.
