need help, hi to low converter stop working

hi there! i have a prob, i tap my hi to low converter to amp out of oem amp. for 5 mins of playing high volume music, not really really loud but loud all of a sudden my converter stop working, it happend to me twice. and its bothering me now if i blown some fuse or i didn't connect it properly. i try troubleshoot it, but its still not turning on. i have idrive 2007 328i. with hifi sound. pls help. any advice? thanks...alot... in advance...

Unless you have Logic7, you should probably pick up the signal going into the OEM amp, not the signal coming out of it. Does the converter have any sort of sensitivity or gain adjustment, if so turn that to a low setting.

So you mean to say I should tap to the wire coming out from the radio to amp not amp to speakers?. . The converter has some knob but the thing is, it doesn't turn on anymore, it happens twice, the second one I bought is a sound processor with built in converter, I turn the volume up and few mins after it stop playing.
