can anybody do some coding for me please??
Hi all im based in Burnley ( come on the clarets, currently bottom of the premiership ) Lancashire northwest..
I drive a pre-Lci 330 D M Sport 56 plate E90 and im after some coding doing please. Im not sure what can be done? my mirrors already fold up with the key fob but i'd like 1. Instant Mpg ( so I can OCD how much im booting it ha ha ) 2.Alarm beep when locking/unlocking Anything else thats achievable with my current setup???? I dont think I can have welcome lights when I unlock the car as I've read that mine been the 56plate will have the Frm1 module and I believe you need Frm2 for that.but Im happy to be proved wrong. I dont mind travelling a bit and paying for your time... Thanks for any help...

I can code the 2 items listed, I'm in Newcastle. I'm in the same boat as you with the FRM for welcome lights though.

It does seem a big expenses doesnt it having to get an Frm2 module just to get welcome lights!!! I wonder if a Frm2 module lets you do extra stuff???? |

You can get a cable from ebay, OBD-USB cable. Then you need a USB to Mini usb cable for it to plug into your phone. And you can't code with the free version of BMWhat.
I think FRM module version are dependant on year your car was made, mine is a e92 2006 and has welcome lights with a FRM1 |

I've just looked @ this one 151335207126 and it seems very similar to my unused Vag-com cable...I wonder if my vag-com would work..it cost roughly the same & came from a similar place ( I.E china )

bumping this backup incase anybody can help a fellow Bmw driver out....
Thanks again to the offer from wibbles but Newcastles quite along way from me. I've considered getting all the gear to do it myself but having never done coding on a Bmw before especially using my phone, I'd like to see how its done before I buy the kit...Anyhow I'd love to be able to get instant MPG, DIGITAL SPEEDO & ALARM BEEP when locking... Thanks
