Paddle shift retro fit.
Hi guys.
Just curious I've got a 330d automatic without the paddles but interested in doing a retro fit. Would this be easy to do. As in buy the paddles connect and away or would it need coding. Also is there any specific fitments required or do they fit on a normal m sport steering wheel. Is there anything else I will need to do. |

Funny you should bring this up this weekend. I'm fitting (or attempting to fit) an m sport wheel with paddles to my sport wheel without paddles.
Will let you know how it goes. Mine is an 06 reg E91. |

Had this Mod and it really is the one of the BEST Mods i have done So Far.
My car is 2006 330i and only works in Sport, but works great. Coming from a SMG M3, i now have some paddles to play with, and not flash someone when i try to change down using the Light Stalk!!!

I've done similar on previous E46 330d and E60 530d. Usually quite a straight forward retrofit once you have the wheel with paddles. Although on previous conversions I had to buy the relevant slipring to accommodate the connection for the paddles. Unsure if that's the same on the E9*

Well I've fitted the wheel and done the wiring but it is only working for going up the gears and won't allow the downward selection. Will have another go tomorrow since I got fed up after 5 hours!
The wheel looks really good though. Just a subtle difference but all the subtle differences add up |
