e9x: Dab CIC
Hi All,
I have a dab CIC setup that I'm thinking of selling. Consists of Screen, controller, and dab cic. (pics to follow) All units are fully up to date with the latest firmware versions. CIC has latest maps 2020-2 with lifetime code, gracenote up to latest 2019. Will include the pink/purple screen cable and the white glovebox usb lead and usb socket. All in very good condition, screen has a few marks, but nothing serious. I will FSC code the cic to your vin, so no emulator required. FSC will include 17,19,1b, 6f, 9c and 9b, 28 will also be loaded. I will code to yours cars audio option, so you get sounds, but it will still need coded to your cars options, (5 minutes work with ncsexpert). Plug and play for non dab cic, ideal for ccc upgrade (ccc loom needs re-pinning, but that easy, and plenty of guides on google). Looking for £600 posted, open to offer too. PM me. I have an OEM dab antenna and fakra antenna lead if needed, but that will be extra. Note: this is a converted e70 unit, its running e90 firmware and its fully working. It's plug and play with a e90 cic, the only difference is that it only needs 2 screws to fix to the dash cage.

Hahahaha, the answer is yes Markos, this would replace the cic (non dab) and replacing the antenna and adding a fakra lead would make it plug and play (it would need FSC coding).
I have a spare DAB antenna and oem fakra lead too. TBH, its not really for sale as i use it for bench testing, that said PM me an offer. Happy to sell the antenna and lead though. BTW is one of the last cic for the e9x series (2013 so quite rare).

Hi I've got a E91 2011 with I believe pro-nav. I am missing DAB and decent sat-nav. Would your "not forsale" kit give me DAB and how easy is it to install. I am using a bluetooth unit for DAB from my phone and have thought about an apple car play Xtron but am not sure what is best. Be interested to hear from you.

lol, yes it would give you dab+ and if i were to sell it would be plug and play and a cable install.
Like I said, not really for sale.

You can make the x5 unit fit. I have it in my E91 with Dab+
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E70-E...Condition=3000 You'd have to check for the DAB+, versus DAB, by build date. |
