N57 - Popping Leak Off Pipe

Hi Guys,

Trust everyone keeping safe!

My N57 - ran perfectly until Fuel Return line was replaced because of damage to OEM Line. It was replaced with OEM part.

Since then - third gear Open Throttle - the return line on the Injectors Pop off - this is the OEM crimped Ends - they jus pop off.

I have stripped the car over 10 times to try and figure out what could the issue be. With the old pipe that was "repaired" never had any issues - since the repaired pipe was replaced with OEM pipe - I have had this issue

Reason for replacing repaired pipe - Used Q-bond to stick Nipple back on - but broke after 2 weeks. But it was an awesome 2 weeks

So...back to the Issue...any ideas what i can look at? I was thinking injectors - but how can injectors just fail by replacing a pipe?

Hi,

First Blue Circle in the centre - Runs to Injector Return - this Pops off...if this does NOT pop off...then the OEM crimps on the Injector return Pops off :-(

did you install them on properly? they need to go on quite far down and you need to get a click when you pop the locking bit back into place.

or are you missing an o-ring which came off during replacement? they are tiny little things and slide on the return section of the injector.

All installed correctly...

I was thinking bad injector...but can it just die within 20Minutes of just replacing a damaged Pipe? Hope not...

Now I am assuming could be something stuck in the Main fuel return line going to tank... just didnt want to strip - thought some-one here may have experienced the same issue.

Pops off on one...then I use an aftermarket clamp..then the next one pops off...and so forth.

So.. have had a look at injector values on ISTA...

All 5 injectors average 0.1 to 0.3 on idle...Only Cylinder 3 stays at 1.5...and as i rev up...it goes to 3.0...didnt rev higher, but I assume it would go up as well.

So next question... is the injector dead? Could this be causing excessive pressure on the Return Line?
